The Swansea Market as it stands today opened in 1961, some 20 years after its predecessor in the same location was destroyed by the three night blitz. It now ranks as a jewel in the city's crown, and rightly so, as it's the largest indoor coveredmarket in Wales.
Now housing a unique variety of stalls, you will find plump cockles, welshcakes straight off of the griddle, meat joints prepared in a traditional local Welsh fashion and low tables bowing under the piles of fresh Gower produce.
