Located on the Mumbles seafront, and with great views across the bay, this intimate and funky restaurant is surprisingly spacious inside. Its exposed brick and stone beautifully compliment the sleek furnishings. The food can easily be placed in the fine dining category, since the team are one of only a small number of local restaurants to have recently achieved two AA rosettes for their superb cuisine, though the relaxed approach here is really quite welcoming. Chefs Steve and Jonathon can be seen to work their magic through the kitchen at the back of the restaurant, while you whet your appetite over a glass of wine and fresh baked bread.
Nothing is bought in pre-made- the philosophy is to ensure that everything is homemade.There is a mouth-watering choice: a heaped bowl of moules mariniere, served with fresh crusty bread, is a starter big enough to be served as a main course. If you fancy something lighter, carpaccio of Welsh beef with a rocket salad and truffle dressing is truly divine, especially when paired with some fine Italian wine. But it is unlikely that you'll want to stop there. The breast of free range chicken with a wild mushroom and toasted hazelnut sauce is indicative of the skill of this culinary team, who are able to bring a new approach to each and every dish they create.

You really get the feeling that enjoying the food here is of utmost importance.That may sound a strange thing to say about a restaurant, but when you book a table here, it is yours for the entire evening. Suzette and Steve Bartram are obviously confident that you will enjoy the food so much that you won't want to leave! Bartram's also prides itself on great service - justified by the fact that just a glance at the waiter or waitress prompts immediate attention.
