Hanson at The Chelsea Restaurant

With a number of prestigious awards under his belt, Andrew Hanson continues to delight his customers at his new city centre location. An effortless ambience is created by a mixture of bistro and New England style, together with a touch of art deco, and this style is seen in the menu. With what has to be one of the most appealing lunch menus in the city (and at only £10.95 for two courses), you will be reluctant to leave for work.

The menu is really simplicity done well, and it is difficult to know where to start: Homemade Goats cheese and wild porcini mushroom tortellini with fresh tomato, basil and olive oil sauce show the chef ’s deft hand, taking ingredients that might have been used predictably elsewhere and leaving you wanting to lick your plate clean.
