Sisters Angela and Deborah have recently taken the helm at Ocean Cafe Bar.This ever popular casual dining bar on Newton Road in Mumbles continues to attract a crowd looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

In the daytime, you'll find friends meeting up and is also very child friendly, while the night scene changes to a much livelier 'grown-ups' hang out.The establishment itself, not surprisingly, feels ocean-like, with paintings and photographs for sale.The atmosphere feels almost antipodean, hinting at the Australian east coast casual lifestyle.

The food served here is kept simple and in keeping with bar food – continental style that is. Ocean is the place to go in Mumbles if you like tapas. You can have two tapas
dishes for £6.50, or three for £9.95. Order a couple of
these and you have the perfect place to come with friends, as these dishes are big, and ideal for sharing.
The deep fried halloumi cheese with a mixed olive and tomato sauce is fluffy and light. The cheese is perfectly salty, not too much, but enough to make that ice cold beer taste heavenly. The chicken in a tarragon and wine
cream sauce is delicious, and almost a meal in itself. These are just two of the offerings, so you’ll definitely need to visit more than once.
