P.A.'s Wine Bar

Kate and Steve Maloney have run this well established award winning restaurant in the heart of Mumbles for the last 10 years.

There is obviously a loyal following for this restaurant, for the welcome is warm at P.A.’s; one of the first things that you will notice is how nearly everyone is greeted by name. You might expect this in your local pub, but to see this in a restaurant convinces you that you have wisely
chosen your place to eat. Be warned though, lunchtimes, even on the quietest days of the week are usually full to the brim (perhaps something to do with a two course lunchtime offer at £10.95) so it’s best to book ahead.
The food doesn’t disappoint either. A lightly dressed
salad of gently smoked chicken with some meaty
mediterannean olives, and asparagus cooked perfectly,
leaves you eagerly anticipating the main course. Portions
are generous, full of flavour and every vegetable served is carefully prepared, so that it is a delight even on its own.
As you would expect, there is always fish on the menu. In fact the chef, keen to keep the menu as fresh as the ingredients used, changes the fish menu every seven days and the a la carte menu every two weeks. Together with well thought out daily specials, you won’t struggle for choice here. All of the desserts, such as lemon soufflé mousse and sticky toffee pudding (some of which are on
show to whet your appetite) are homemade.
