The Buck Inn

The Buck is back and it’s building a reputation for some great Welsh pub food once again.

Ian and Claire Hart are the inspiration behind this atmospheric traditional pub, and have eagerly taken it under their wings as the new owners. They feel overwhelmingly passionate about making a pub what it really should be - great, simple home-cooked food, with warm and welcoming owners and a pub and restaurant that you can feel at home in.

It couldn't be easier to find - just off of the motorway, yet in a sleepy location on the A48 in Pontlliw. Originally built as a drinking destination for the coaches passing by, this pub and restaurant is the real McCoy, with roaring open fire and rambling rooms full of cosy nooks and crannies to enjoy real ale, fine wine and of course the well known Buck carvery.

Importantly, the chef takes the same genuine approach. All of the food is cooked to order, and you'll only find homemade chips here! There is a great range of grills (£4.95 for Liver and Bacon, and £12.50 for the Buck Mixed Grill), as well as Welsh black steaks, lamb chops and Surf and Turf. Vegetarians are catered for, and the chef has his own delicious homemade desserts to finish off the meal.
